5-Day Budget Tanzania Camping Safari – Serengeti & Ngorongoro

Depart from Moshi in the morning and head to Tarangire National Park, a scenic park famous for its large elephant herds and towering baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park. After wildlife viewing, proceed to your campsite near the park for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, begin your journey toward the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. Drive through the lush Ngorongoro Highlands, with a chance to see traditional Maasai villages along the way. Enter Serengeti in the afternoon and enjoy a game drive en route to your central campsite, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by nature.

Spend the entire day exploring the legendary Serengeti, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations. Depending on the time of year, you might catch part of the Great Wildebeest Migration, along with predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Enjoy lunch in the bush and return to your campsite by sunset.

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive as you exit the Serengeti and make your way to Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way, you can optionally visit a Maasai village for a cultural experience. In the evening, arrive at Simba Campsite, located right on the crater rim, and enjoy dinner with incredible views.

Rise early for a game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater, a haven for wildlife and one of the best places to spot the Big Five, including the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before heading back to Moshi, where your safari ends with a drop-off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport.
